Michael Bester presents music from his debut album Now, not yet, inspired by his time in Spain and shaped by the tension between reality and aspiration. His compositions blend jazz, rock, folk and world influences, pairing rich harmonic ideas with clear, melodic writing.

A UCT graduate with a Master’s from Berklee (Valencia), Bester is a SAMRO Overseas Scholarship winner and former member of Mango Groove.

He is joined by a high class band featuring Buddy Wells (saxophone), Kingsley Buitendag (piano), Stephen de Souza (bass) and Damian Kamineth (drums).
