DESCRIPTION:Join us for our weekly improv theatre jam at the clubhouse of the oldest theatre society in South Africa. \nIt will be a night of laughs\, spontaneous creativity\, and new friends. \nThere will be facilitated games to get to know each other and sharpen our senses as well as traditional Improv theatre games and exercises for all levels. \nThis is a chance to immerse yourself in the present moment. To let go of expectations and fear and build your confidence in a welcoming and friendly environment. \nThis is a participatory evening\, but you are welcome to come and watch if you want to see what it is about first. \nDate: Weekly on Sundays \nTime: 5:30- 7:30pm (please show up 10 minutes before) \nLocation: The Hok (Clarement Dramatic Society) – Thicket St\, Newlands\, Cape Town\, 7725\, South Africa \nInstagram: @Immersive_capetown \nP.S. Don’t worry\, no experience necessary – just a willingness to have fun! \nO\, and join our Whatsapp to get all the updates. \nDisclaimer: \nDue to the spontaneous and unpredictable nature of improv\, \nWe can not say what content there will be\, \nbut we’re fairly confident it will not be PC. \nWe endeavour to create as safe a container for expression and creativity as possible\, but we want to acknowledge that there is no such thing as a completely safe container\, and especially due to the spontaneous nature of Improv\, things may be said or done that trigger some individuals. \nIt is ok to be triggered and the facilitators are there to support you if this comes up. \nWe also ask that you feel confident stepping into this unknown environment where (almost) anything can happen\, before you purchase your ticket. \n*Note that the sessions may be recorded. By purchasing a ticket\, you agree to being filmed and or photographed and this may be shared on social media and/or similar digital channels. If you would prefer we did not share images or video of you on the interweb\, please come and speak to us before or after the session. \nVenue instructions: \nBest is to go to get directed to the Neighbourgood hotel and you will see a large parking lot. The second last door on the left as you come into the parking lot is the spot. If you get stuck\, message in the whatsapp group.
