Candlelight Concert with Kobie du Plessis

Join us for an enchanting candlelight solo harp performance by Kobie du Plessis at the Museum of Dogs on 17 March 2026 at 19:00. This intimate 30-minute concert offers a unique blend of music and atmosphere, set within the captivating surroundings of the museum.
Your ticket includes entrance to the museum. The museum will be open from 18:00, to explore prior to the performance.
After the performance, indulge in dinner at Carne, conveniently located opposite the museum.
About the Performer
South African born Kobie du Plessis regularly performs recitals as a soloist or in chamber groups in Spain, the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, South Africa and Brazil. Kobie was awarded a scholarship for outstanding performance on the harp. As a student she toured South America with the SABC Youth orchestra and performed as soloist in Uruguay, Paraguay and Argentina.
She studied with European harp virtuosi Susanna Mildonian in Brussels and with Edward Witsenburg in the Netherlands, while living there.
Kobie lived in Barcelona for many years. In that time Kobie judged harp competitions in Vorarlberg, Austria and performed with flautist Amanda du Preez in Salzburg. She performed in Cologne for German television with Thekla von Dombois, German oboist; together they gave a concert tour in the Western Cape South Africa.
She was harpist for an ad hoc orchestra playing in a concert featuring world famous Jose Carreras in the South of Spain. She performed with international musicians in Barcelona, among others Mathias Weinman (cello), Ala Voronkova (violin) and Iulian Gogu (flute). She was recorded for Spanish television featuring her Electric harp for Catalunya Today.
Kobie played in Mexico City as guest artist for the 4th International Competition. She performs repeatedly as soloist for the Rio Harp Festival in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She was elected as one of the 10 harpists recording for a compact disc for the World Harp Day. Her compact disc, The Magic of the harp, is featured on Amazon and Spotify.
